SBC Park
SBC Park is truly one of the most unique stadiums in
baseball. In it's first three years of action it has already witnessed
the crowning of a new home run king! Among the it's many events,
football games and concerts, the stadium's main draw is the
San Francisco Giants.

SBC Park Firsts
The first regular season game was held Aril 11th 2000. The San
Francisco Giants hosted the LA Dodgers. Over 40,000 baseball
fans poured into the stadium to witness the home opener. The
first hit of the game came off the first batter, Dodger center
fielder Devon White. Although the Giants struck first when Bill
Mueller scored from first base off a Barry Bonds double, the
Giants ended up losing the game 5-6.
Pacific Bell Attractions
Located in the outfield, the Coca Cola fan lot is a lot of fun.
It features a slide, a bat race and a great area for children
to play. It is open year round and is free to the public.
One of the most recognizable features of the park is 26ft tall
and weighs 20,000 pounds. Of course this has to be the replica
of a 1927 baseball mitt. It was built in Oakland where local
artisans spent hundreds of hours making the glove look as life-like
as possible.
